Her Campus Media is the #1 new media brand for the empowered college woman and 360-degree college marketing agency. Our flagship site HerCampus.com is written entirely by the world's top student journalists who make up our network of 10,000+ student contributors across our 340+ campus chapters, and we serve as a career launching pad for the next generation of student journalists, marketers, and creatives.
Her Campus Media is a multi-platform brand that engages with college women wherever they are--online, on social media, at events, and on campus. In addition to HerCampus.com and our campus chapters, we reach this key audience through our InfluenceHer Collective of 2,300+ millennial & Gen Z female influencers, annual proprietary tentpole programs College Fashion Week and Her Conference, quarterly "Survival Kit" product sampling program, daily email newsletter, and much more.
Her Campus Media founders Annie Wang, Stephanie Kaplan Lewis, and Windsor Hanger Western met as Harvard undergraduates while running a student publication for Harvard women. The publication soared in popularity with college women across the country, who began asking for advice on starting something like it at their own schools. Annie, Stephanie, and Windsor had the idea to build something similar on a national level to serve college women everywhere, and in 2009 they won Harvard's business plan competition with their vision for Her Campus Media. They've been building the company into the number one media and marketing company for college women ever since, and Her Campus Media remains 100% women-owned and women-run today.
